Bronze Fallow is an autosomal recessive mutation with one of the perceptible indicators being red eyes along with diluted plumage, the action of this mutation is to heavily dilute dark melanin pigmentation to a light brown phenotype, offspring are born with red eyes that they retain as they mature.
Bronze Fallow dilutes grey pigmentation to brown, therefore this mutation can be considered a true fallow mutation.
This mutation was established in the United States of America in 1971 and is widely available around the world.
Bronze Fallow is an allele of the NSL Lutino mutation and paring this mutation to any melanin removing or reducing mutation would cause confusion as Sex-linked Lutino would mask this mutation as well as a Cinnamon or Dominant Silver version of Bronze Fallow could lead to this mutation being mistaken as Cinnamon Lutino.
